Candid-ness

Enough with the cam-whoring....nowadays everyone is so into taking their own pictures and posing like superstars for each and every one of them..

Here comes the candids! ;)

Shots around UUM

Let's move away from all those 'canggih' pictures for a moment.... Here's some simple shots taken at UUM itself.. Don't cringe at the poor quality....they were all taken with a simple 2megapixel camera phone!

When the flowers are in bloom...aren't they beautiful? This one was taken along the pathway from the library to centre square..

Sungai Sintok taken from the bridge to the Varsity Mall..

Half boiled eggs with a cuppa hot Milo at Nelsons..

Wanna know what's funny about this picture? It was taken during Integrasi..and all of the students in the Sports Science class were in line..and each had their own umbrella! ;)

A serene view of the golfcourse taken from Muamalat student residential hall..

Something you won't find in Johor Baru, where I'm from... Cows always get a right of way when it comes to crossing the road... This was taken on the way to Kachi.

Jungle trekking right here in campus! What a climb~!

Which other campus is surrounded by such lush greenery? Can't get closer to nature than this...

Animal Planet

Photographing animals is no easy feat! Most of the time, they won't ever look at the camera...Don't hope for your animal to smile and pose for you..Haha..
However, pictures of animals can either be cute, funny, adorable, or just plain scary.

Here's a few I'd like to share with all of you:

This is my doggie, Rikki, when he was just a pup. At least he's not camera shy ;)

My friend with a snake. Neither of them are camera-shy. Just too bad they're looking at the wrong camera! :P

Another reptile, this time from Sungai Melaka...Lizards love sunbathing too... I hope it applied enough sunblock...skin cancer kills! :P

Oooh...aren't they adorable! These cute tiggers were only 2 weeks old! Taken at the Saleng Zoo in 2008. They looked like cats...but 10,000x more cute :)

Here's a real feline...She was weighed 9kg! I saw her at a cat show in Kulai, Johor. I just love the way she stares straight into the lenses of my camera ... :)

This proud Maine Coome was a real show-stealer... Just look at the proud way he's sitting... And the amount of attention he received! He knows he's good, and he's not shy to show off!

A proud owner of a beautiful feline kitty.. She was showing me the circle-like patttern on the fur of the cat.

Sunny Pix

Pictures taken with under the sun almost always turn out nicely. Compared to an indoor picture, or one at night, these sunny pictures are always great to look at. See what a huge difference artificial lighting from the flash your camera has when compared to good ol' sunlight :)

Nothing like sailing on a sunny day :)
This was at the Johor Regatta 2008, held at Tanjung Langsat.

Did you know, the southernmost tip of mainland Asia is at Tanjung Piai, Johor? ;) Don't believe me? Look at a map. Or if you're lazy, Google it. :P

This is one of my favourites, taken at the Pasir Gudang International Kite Festival... I was on the ground, and this happy kite was in the sky..this is what the smiley kite looked like from below.

This kite-flyer came all the way from Indonesia...and he was kind enough to oblige me a picture of him and his gigantic 'wau' kite.

Notice how the sun can bring out colours and add life to everything?
This was at the Johor Baru Secondary School Band Competition 2008.

Straight from Mother Nature

Have you ever thought to yourself, "How beautiful the world is...I want to capture it and show it to all my friends!"

Haha. Okay, so not all of us want to take pictures of something beautiful to show off to our friends. Most of the time, the pictures we take are to remind us how breathtaking something we once saw was.

I always find my pictures to be a disappointment because it's so hard to truly capture the astounding beauty of Mother Nature...but...no harm in trying! :)

These pictures were taken in Langkawi Island..
Look at the airplane in this one :)

A beautiful sunset...

These 2 shots were taken from the suspension bridge in Langkawi...a breathtaking view of the blue blue sea ... :)
